Pamela is an award winning author who enjoys life and looks forward to spending every precious moment with her family. A Georgia transplant, she spends her days writing, gardening, and traveling with friends and family.

An interview with Pamela

Question: Tell us about Pamela Varnado?

I grew up in Virginia and New Jersey alongside my brother and five sisters. Though my childhood wasn’t exactly carefree, it shaped me into a strong, compassionate woman. Sadly, my brother passed away at a fairly young age, but I’m still close to my sisters. A middle child, I took on the role of peacemaker in the family. My we are a team and must work together mentality led me to participate in sports in high school. After graduating I joined the military and was exposed to a world that challenged all my preconceived ideas.

Question: What type of stories do you write?

I write sexy contemporary, paranormal, and thriller novels, but I'm also exploring the New Adult genre. Most of my stories lean toward the darker side, but a hint of sarcastic humor is also important to me. If I’m sitting on the edge of my seat while I am writing, I know I’ve created a scene my readers will love.

Question: What makes a kiss passionate?

A great kiss is more than a sexual encounter. It begins with a strong emotional connection and encompasses more than just a mouth and tongue. It involves the neck, the breasts, the stomach and other erogenous areas on the body. It involves passion. It involves all the four senses. It involves a total commitment. It involves magic.

Question: What are the top five items on your bucket list?

Question: Describe your perfect hero.

To me, a hero doesn’t focus on societal norms when making decisions. He does whatever it takes to protect those he loves. The family is important to him. A defender of the weak, he’s willing to sacrifice his own freedom to help those in need. And while he’s protective of his woman, he’s not afraid to allow her to make her own decisions and travel her own path. Together, angst, strength, compassion, and sex appeal create my perfect hero.

Question: Describe your perfect heroine.

My perfect heroine is smart and spunky. She exhibits a wide range of emotions and physical abilities. Determined, she knows what she wants and is not afraid to go after it. The themes of her life center around love, family, truth, and justice.
